The reconversion of the bullring is a project that seeks the unification of Murcia society and the use of a new space for a multitude of activities. It is intended to create a ring-shaped building inside the bullring that, like a mountain, will gradually rise, thus creating a green path towards the roof, which will be a great circular viewpoint of the city of Murcia.
This new building will contain artistic activities in all kinds of disciplines (painting, sculpture, theater, architecture, dance, music and literature) also it’ll have different dimensions according to the program and needs of each discipline. It will be elevated until the first floor in order to leave level 0 free for the use of the public square and a deck that will connect with each of the levels from the current bullring.

The current levels of the square are rehabilitated for their use, highlighting the bull museum, located on the second floor, the restaurant on the third floor, and the roof as a viewpoint. The exterior is also renovated creating a park with radial paths and removing the current corrals where animals were kept. This creates a wide, green and clear place for the citizen to use it freely and situates Murcia (without losing its tradition) in a city that is committed to the new, more contemporary, respectful and ecological architecture.
